Catalog resolutionWhether Shopify's live lookup resolves the submitted product URL to a Catalog product at this moment. It cannot see every private eligibility decision.
Catalog resultWhether that resolved product identity appears with an offer from the submitted storefront in the ordered products returned for this phrase, country, and moment. This is product-level, not proof of one exact variant.
Channel outcomeChatGPT and other channels can filter, re-rank, and personalize. A Catalog position is not a guaranteed mention or sale.

A useful before-and-after test

Change one verified gap, then run the same query again.

  1. Save the exact product URL, query, country, timestamp, lookup state, and returned result.
  2. Run the same query in Shopify Admin under Sales channels > Agentic and inspect Listing insights.
  3. Correct one factual, customer-useful gap. Do not stuff the query into hidden fields or invent product claims.
  4. Allow the catalog to update, then repeat the identical query and compare snapshots.
  5. Use Agentic performance reporting and orders—not rank screenshots—to verify traffic and revenue.
