What this checks

Shopify’s published entry requirements—not a made-up score.

Shopify currently says a store must sell to US customers, have products eligible for Shopify Catalog, accept the Agentic Storefronts Supplemental Terms, and complete its Terms of service, Privacy policy, and Return and refund policy.

This page helps you account for those four items. It cannot see private Agentic settings, accept terms, inspect every product, or verify a channel decision on Shopify's behalf.

Four-question self-check

Do you meet Shopify’s current ChatGPT requirements?

Answers stay in this browser tab. They are not submitted, saved, or sent to AgentSight.

01Your store sells to customers in the United States

The store can be based elsewhere, but it must sell to customers in the US.

02Your products are eligible for Shopify Catalog

ChatGPT receives eligible product data through Shopify Catalog, not from a special text file.

03You accepted the Agentic Storefronts Supplemental Terms

Shopify requires the store to read and agree to its supplemental terms for agentic storefronts.

04Your required store policies are complete

Shopify names Terms of service, Privacy policy, and Return and refund policy.

Answer all four current requirements

The result stays deliberately inconclusive until every required item has an answer.

Read the result correctly

Meeting the entry requirements is the start, not the finish.

A result based on your answers does not prove that a specific product is eligible, selected, ranked, recommended, or visible for a particular ChatGPT query. Shopify Catalog is the primary product-data route, and the channel can apply its own product and policy rules.

Base requirementsThe four account-level items this self-check covers.
Product readinessTitles, descriptions, categories, variants, images, availability, and other catalog facts.
Channel outcomeEligibility, retrieval, ranking, recommendation, traffic, and sales remain separate outcomes.
After the four answers

Check the product-level conditions that still matter.

Shopify publishes additional considerations beyond the four entry requirements. Review these before treating an activated channel as proof that all products can appear.

  1. Confirm products are available to the United States and eligible for Shopify Catalog.
  2. Keep titles, descriptions, options, images, price, and availability complete and accurate in the catalog source.
  3. Put any required legal disclosures within the first 6,000 characters of the product description.
  4. Check whether B2B-only products or products covered by OpenAI's commerce restrictions are excluded.
  5. Use Shopify's Agentic reporting and your own conversion data to measure real discovery and sales.

You do not need an app to generate agents.md, llms.txt, or llms-full.txt. Shopify serves them automatically, and Shopify Catalog—not those files—is the primary product feed for agentic storefronts.

Where to verify

Use the private Shopify state as the final authority.

Agentic
Sales channels → Agentic

Review the ChatGPT channel, Catalog access, terms prompts, eligibility notices, and the state Shopify shows now.

Policies
Settings → Policies

Complete Terms of service, Privacy policy, and Return and refund policy. Reconcile the published pages with how the store actually operates.

Catalog
Shopify Catalog product data

Review listing quality, source mapping, market availability, and product eligibility rather than inferring readiness from one public page.

Primary sources

Requirements change. Verify against Shopify.
